Leadership
Entrepreneurial leaders inspire, support and develop their staff through their actions, values, and behaviours.
Leaders and potential leaders need to be nurtured and developed in a learning environment.
Actif offer leadership development programmes which are designed to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills and capacity required to act commercially, entrepreneurially and innovatively, with the aim of enhancing business performance and service delivery.
Traditionally leadership development has been provided largely by academic institutions, with little or no input from the business community. As a result the focus tends to be on academic rather than personal development, and courses have concentrated solely on theoretical models and concepts rather than the development of practical skills such as the spotting of opportunities and the management of risk.
As a result leadership and entrepreneurship have not been nurtured or developed in individuals and the disparity between potential and actual performance is extremely wide, as managers and leaders are not prepared for the opportunities that rapid change in todays global environment can bring to an organisation.
Actif help you and your organisation reach that potential by:
- Taking the most up to date thinking about leadership and entrepreneurship from the business and academic communities and delivering it in a practical, interactive and business focused manner
- Working with your senior team or board at strategic and board meetings to help you focus on delivering the results and targets you have set yourselves
- Delivering workshops designed to encourage participants to think creatively about themselves and the business contexts in which they operate
- Supporting participants outside of the workshops to use the tools and techniques to develop strategies to take themselves and organisations forward
- Including a range of successful leaders and entrepreneurs as role models and guest speakers during the delivery phase of all programmes
- Encouraging the exchange of ideas and learning between participants involved in programmes.
